Dear Henderson ISD Families, As we approach our scheduled graduation ceremony, we are closely monitoring the weather forecast due to the possibility of rain on Thursday evening. Our commitment remains to have the ceremony at the stadium as planned, starting at 8:00 PM.  We understand the importance of this milestone event, and we will do everything possible to proceed with the ceremony on Thursday. This includes potentially delaying the start time for an hour or more, should there be an opportunity for a break in the weather.  Only as a last resort, if the weather conditions do not permit a safe ceremony, will we consider postponing the event to Friday evening at 8:00 PM. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we prepare for this very special event and thank you for your support and cooperation. HISD Administration

Due to the recent storms in our area, our Middle School and the Montgomery Achievement Center campuses have experienced a partial loss of power. We understand this may be concerning, but we want to assure you that all students are safe, and our school staff is managing the situation. Despite the power outage, please be assured that lunch services will proceed with only a few modifications. There is no need for immediate concern or to pick up your children from school at this time. Our preparedness plans are in place, and we are working diligently to ensure the safety and comfort of all students until the end of the school day. The well-being of our students is our top priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed about any developments. Our facilities team is actively working with local authorities and utility services to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this unexpected event. Due to the power outage, school phones are being rerouted to our district administration offices.

HISD will return to normal schedules tomorrow! All campuses and busses will run at regular times. As we return to school, please be aware that some areas on campus may still be slick. Maintenance crews have been working all day to clear off any remaining ice but there may be areas, especially in shaded or covered areas, that could refreeze overnight. This could include steps, ramps, covered walkways, playgrounds, etc. Please be safe and stay warm and we will see you tomorrow!
