Condolences to the family of long-time HISD employee Sue Fears
It is with deep sadness that the district learned today about the passing of Sue Fears, a longtime Henderson ISD employee. We offer our condolences to her family and friends. Ms. Fears just recently retired from HISD after 26 years of dedicated service to our students and family. She worked at Henderson Middle School for many years, most recently working with our D.A.E.P and P.R.I.D.E. Academy students at the Montgomery Achievement Center. She was committed to students, always the first one on campus each morning and almost never missed a day. It was well known that Ms. Fears had a special place in her heart for students who faced life’s greatest challenges. She was loved by her students and will be truly missed by those who were privileged to work with her on a daily basis.

Every morning, more than 3,400 Henderson students across five HISD campuses begin their day with pledges of allegiance to the flags of the United States and the State of Texas. They then observe a minute of silence. This patriotic and time-honored tradition during the morning announcements is something we will proudly continue for years to come. #HendersonISD #LiveLikeYouROAR
